Lexicon Select Relief Printing Materials Editorial Review

The Lexicon Select Transparent Super Soft Lino Block is garnering notable attention in the crafting community for its innovative design and user-friendly characteristics. Customers have praised the product for eliminating the need to draw directly onto the polymer surface, as the transparency allows for easy visibility of underlying drawings. This feature enhances the precision of carving and reduces the chances of smudging, ultimately facilitating a clearer artistic process. Users also appreciate the smooth carving experience, with many noting that their tools glide effortlessly across the material, preventing issues like dragging and crumbling that can often occur with traditional linoleum. The ability to assess the print quality by inking one side and placing a paper beneath, before actual printing, adds another layer of convenience and creativity, allowing for better planning and visualization of the end result. This Lino block further allows for versatile usage, as it can be carved on both sides, making it a cost-effective choice for artists wishing to experiment with multiple designs or perspectives. Additionally, clean-up is reported to be notably easier than conventional linoleum due to the lack of absorbent materials, enabling artists to switch colors or layers without the waiting time often associated with cleanup. However, a recurring criticism is the difficulty in tracking carved areas due to the clear nature of the material. Some users suggest that colored transparency layers could enhance usability by improving visibility during the carving process. Overall, the Lexicon Select Lino Block has successfully combined functionality and ease of use, making it a valuable asset for both novice and seasoned artists, despite minor issues raised regarding tracking carving progress. **
