Resposta: You will have to factor in that due to the sloping ground one side will be shallower than the other. Make sure that it isn't the side with the water intake & water outtake. -

Resposta: Yes, your dog will pierce the skin. We put our dog in, let him swim, and then take him straight out. Don't let them touch the bottom or the sides. -

Resposta: No, but you can buy a pump to attach to this one that is a specific heater, so as the water runs through it, it warms up the water. Check out the comments before you buy! -
