The ARP 400-1110 Header Bolt Kit is specifically designed for securing exhaust headers to engine cylinder heads. It ensures a tight and stable connection, ultimately enhancing engine performance by maintaining proper alignment. This kit is essential for high-performance applications where exhaust leaks could affect power and efficiency. Utilizing these bolts is particularly beneficial in racing or modified vehicles where maintaining consistent pressure is crucial.

What materials are used in the ARP 400-1110 Header Bolt Kit?

The ARP 400-1110 Header Bolt Kit features premium-grade materials, specifically aircraft-quality alloy steel, which ensures high tensile strength and resistance to stretching or breaking. Users appreciate that the ARP bolts can be reused, making them a cost-effective solution for repeated installations or adjustments in performance builds.

What is the torque specification for the ARP 400-1110 Header Bolt Kit?

The correct torque specifications for the ARP 400-1110 Header Bolt Kit typically depend on the specific engine application and the material of the cylinder head. How do I install the ARP 400-1110 Header Bolt Kit?

Installing the ARP 400-1110 Header Bolt Kit involves first aligning the header to the cylinder head and inserting the bolts into place. Follow typical installation procedures, ensuring that all bolts are inserted evenly and not overly tightened. It's advisable to apply a suitable lubricant on the threads and to use a torque wrench to reach the recommended settings. This technique provides an even seal and prevents potential leaks, thus maximizing engine performance.

What makes ARP header bolts better than standard bolts?

ARP header bolts are engineered for high-performance applications with a focus on strength, reliability, and corrosion resistance. They are crafted from premium materials that offer superior tensile strength compared to standard bolts. This high-performance design minimizes the risk of stretching or breaking during intense usage. Can I use ARP 400-1110 bolts on aftermarket headers?

Yes, the ARP 400-1110 Header Bolt Kit can typically be used on aftermarket headers, provided that the bolt pattern matches the specific application. Aftermarket headers often require robust fasteners to ensure secure installation, and the ARP bolts are an ideal choice due to their superior strength and design.
