ABUS Cable Locks 11273 Editorial Review
### Abus Bordo 5700 Folding Lock The Abus Bordo 5700 Folding Lock has garnered positive feedback from customers, emphasizing its robust security and convenient design. Users appreciate its effectiveness in deterring thieves, with one customer noting it successfully protected their $3000 bike against attempts of cutting through the lock in a high-risk urban environment like NYC. This highlights the product's reliability and strength. One of the standout features mentioned by reviewers is the lock's compactness. When folded, it occupies a minimal space, roughly the size of a water bottle, which means it can easily fit into a saddlebag. This portability does not come at the expense of functionality, as the lock's ability to extend allows for versatile locking options—making it compatible with various types of bike racks that may not accommodate more rigid U-locks. Constructed with a German design ethos, users have reported the lock to be well-made, featuring sturdy joints and a solid locking mechanism that shows no signs of wear over time. While some patrons have expressed concerns regarding its security compared to competing brands like Kryptonite, the flexible joints and larger locking openings facilitate ease of use in securing bikes to diverse objects. However, not all feedback is entirely positive. Some users found the lock too small for larger locking needs and struggled to secure their bikes to certain racks, prompting returns for models that offered more length. Despite this, overall sentiment suggests that the Abus Bordo 5700 is a worthy Consideration for cyclists seeking a reliable and practical bike lock. ### Pros and Cons **
