The stabilizer can be used with downtubes larger than 38mm and can be shimmied with a piece of rubber if necessary. Customer Reception: - Some customers found that the stabilizer did not work for their bike and exacerbated wheel flop or did nothing. - Others found the clamp easy to install and liked the ability to adjust the tension of the spring but found the downtube clamp to be stiff and inflexible. - Some customers received the product with missing parts or found it to be weakly built with a weak spring and plastic band. - A few customers found the plastic clamp to be weak and unable to be tightened enough to prevent slipping.
