    Resposta: If you're referring to cutting with a torch or plasma cutter the 3.0 works fine for me. All depends on your sensitivity. I prefer the lighter shaded hood.

Most customers found the shade to be appropriate for most activities but recommended a shade 5.0 for gas welding. The lens scratches easily, so it is essential to be careful when cleaning it. A few customers received a clear lens instead of the shade 3.0 they ordered. One customer experienced their face shield catching fire while using it for welding and was concerned about the flammability of the product; however, this was an isolated incident.
