The quake waves not only go up and down, but also sideways, making it very enjoyable. While some customers were disappointed with the flimsy cardboard Construction, the toy is worth its value over the price. Overall, the SmartLab Toys Aftershock Earthquake Lab Set is a good educational toy, but the strength could be better.
