The 8Bitdo SN30 Pro USB Wired Controller has garnered a positive reception among retro gaming enthusiasts and those looking for a reliable controller for their gaming setups. Many users hail it as one of the best SNES-style gamepads on the market, particularly praising its compatibility with various platforms like the Switch, PC, and Raspberry Pi setups. At a price point of around $22, it is seen as an excellent choice for those who want quality without breaking the bank, especially when compared to cheaper alternatives. The controller's build quality stands out, with users appreciating the sturdy and comfortable feel of the buttons and joysticks, specifically noting the satisfying click of the buttons and the solid tension in the joysticks. The plug-and-play feature is frequently highlighted for its convenience, allowing for immediate recognition by devices, which enhances the gaming experience. However, several customers noted a few drawbacks. The cord length is reported to be around 5 feet, which may be limiting for some setups, especially in larger rooms. Additionally, while many users appreciate the overall feel, some find the placement of the buttons and the layout awkward compared to modern controllers, particularly pointing out the unusual diamond arrangement of the XYAB buttons. The lack of analog triggers and compatibility with customizable software can be limiting for those who prefer more advanced features in their controllers. Overall, the 8Bitdo SN30 Pro USB Wired Controller is highly recommended for retro gamers and those with smaller gaming spaces, making it a great investment for nostalgic and casual gaming experiences. **
