Hartz UltraGuard Dual Action is an oil-based product that provides protection to dogs against fleas and ticks. It is safe for use on dogs that are 12 weeks old and above as long as they are within the labeled weight category on the label. This product should be applied in a bead down the dog's back according to package directions to prevent dogs from licking it off and getting sick. It worked for some customers within 3 days, while others said it did not work and irritated their dogs' skin. It is advisable to use either the Flea & Tick Collar or Hartz UltraGuard Dual Action, not together.
