Humans have fallen under the control of cruel men, and the remaining elves have retreated and are in hiding. The story follows the tragic life of Túrin, a charismatic warrior with a curse and an inability to love, as he struggles to survive in this bleak world. The book features great illustrations by Alan Lee.
