What is included with the UMX Timber X BNF Basic model?

The E-flite UMX Timber X BNF Basic model includes the aircraft but does not come with a transmitter, battery, or charger. This is ideal for existing RC enthusiasts who already have compatible equipment. As a BNF (Bind-N-Fly) model, you can quickly pair it with your compatible transmitter, allowing for immediate flights. This model's quality construction and lightweight design enhance its ease of use, making it suitable for park flights and small fields.

How does AS3X technology enhance my flying experience?

AS3X technology is integrated into the E-flite UMX Timber X to provide real-time stabilization during flight. This helps to counteract external factors like wind and turbulence, resulting in a smoother flying experience. Whether you're performing tricks or simply cruising around, AS3X provides a more controlled flight. This is particularly beneficial for beginner pilots, as it allows them to focus on the flying experience without worrying about managing external forces.

What makes the UMX Timber X suitable for outdoor flying?

The UMX Timber X is lightweight yet robust, making it ideal for outdoor flying. Its high wing design and large control surfaces contribute to excellent lift and stability, even in light winds. Additionally, the aircraft has a short takeoff and landing capability, allowing you to fly in confined spaces like parks or fields. For those who enjoy outdoor fun, the versatility of this airplane lets you explore different flying techniques and challenges.

What type of batteries does the UMX Timber X require?

Generally, a battery in the range of 500-800mAh with a 25C discharge rating will work well. Ensuring you have the right battery will help maximize flight time and performance, allowing you to enjoy longer sessions in the air.

Can I fly the UMX Timber X in light wind conditions?

Yes, the E-flite UMX Timber X is designed to handle light wind conditions exceptionally well. Thanks to its AS3X stabilization system, the aircraft can maintain stable flight even in breezy weather. What are the benefits of the BNF (Bind-N-Fly) format?

The BNF (Bind-N-Fly) format offers several advantages, especially for experienced hobbyists. With this format, you get a fully assembled and pre-tested aircraft, allowing you to focus on the flying rather than assembly. You can easily bind the airplane to your existing compatible transmitter, which saves time. This model is perfect for those who want to expand their fleet without needing to purchase additional accessories or kits.

What kind of maintenance does the UMX Timber X require?

Maintaining the E-flite UMX Timber X involves simple checks and care. Regularly inspect the propeller, landing gear, and control surfaces for any signs of wear or damage. E-flite Airplanes & Jets Editorial Review

The E-flite UMX Timber X BNF Basic with AS3X and Safe Select has received mixed reviews. While some reviewers praise its aerobatic capabilities, others point out poor assembly with sloppy gluing and the control rod on the rudder falling off. The AS3X system has also been reported to not work properly. Some reviewers noted that the plane requires a larger flying area and struggles in low energy situations, too. There were also complaints about the plane being difficult to bind Consistently. Attributing to the poor quality of assembly, customers suggest that this is not a plane for beginners and requires medium to high skill to operate. Despite the mixed reviews, some customers who received a replacement were happier with its improved flying experience.
