The Canon Zoom Digital Monocular Kit is a compact device that comes with a USB-C charger, USB-C cable, microSD card, and wrist strap. It offers 2x optical, 4x optical, and 8x digital zoom, though the digital zoom results in heavily-pixelated images. The monocular is not recommended for low light situations and poor image quality makes it not ideal for use at concerts or events. However, it is useful for bird watching, taking photos on scenic walks, and catching shots that would be missed without it. The device includes image stabilization which is a great feature. The camera is easy to use but the buttons are quite close together, which can lead to users hitting the wrong button. The monocular is not mountable on a tripod and has a small field of view. The quality of the pictures is not great, but it can take stills and videos taken with near/distant comparisons. It has a strong battery life and can be easily hidden in a pocket. It should be noted that the camera requires its dedicated charger, and it will not charge with anything less than 18W versions.
