The base dimensions are 7 3/4-9” and the mounting holes are 7/16ths in diameter and are 7 3/4” apart. It comes with two extra thick spiral-sewn buffing wheels, but you will need to purchase buffing compound separately. The buffer can be used to polish metals, wood, and jewelry. It is powerful and balanced, and the default RPMs are good for polishing work. Noise levels are low, which is impressive. However, for production work, it may not be the best option.
