The Physician is a well-made movie that tells an engaging story. However, it deviates significantly from the novel on which it is based. The movie changes the circumstances of the characters so much that it could almost be Considered a different work entirely. Nonetheless, for those who have not read the book, it is an enjoyable and satisfying experience.
