This saddle pad has a wool inner material and a synthetic fleece underside; the thickness is 1 and 1/4 inches thick at the highest point and it tapers down to about a 1/2 inch thick. The drop from the spine to the bottom of the pad is 28". This is a very nice pad that is well made and sticks to your saddle to eliminate saddle slippage, but everything sticks to it, so it needs to be brushed regularly. It is a great pad for those who require a thinner pad and it works well with endurance saddles. However, it may be a little expensive for its size, and the actual dimensions of the pad are smaller than what is quoted on the website. The color on the pad fades after a few rides, but overall it is a good option for those looking for a thinner, well-made pad.
