Although it does not charge through a plug-in, it charges within the gimbal itself, which could be inconvenient for some users. The grip is easy to remove and replace when the battery dies. It has a low-noise design, and noise issues were not reported by any customers. It is not compatible with the Ronin-S. However, some Consumers have criticized it as being a pure money-making product. The grip does not allow you to swap batteries, and you can't recharge the battery while using the unit with the spare. As it is a spare battery product, some customers felt that it would be more practical and cost-effective to purchase additional standard 18650 batteries instead of a replacement grip. Nevertheless, it is suggested that it is a reliable backup battery source for the Ronin-SC gimbal.
