    Resposta: The handles are rubber coated. It is important to lift the handles away from the pot so they don’t melt on the side of the pot. They also don’t do great over a fire. These pots work great with a backpacking stove.

    Resposta: New lids are made of plastic. If you remove the handles' protectors, they will become too hot to hold. These pots are made for camp stoves like a jet boil. If placed on a real fire, they will melt. Steel is still the best way to go for any type of fire or wood coals.

It might be slow if you are trying to boil water, but it would be perfect for warming and simmering. Clean the griddle in the area you're using it to prevent soiling the bottom of the pot.

The GSI Outdoors Halulite Cook Pot is a great product with many useful features including collapsible handles and thumb pads that work well with the lid for straining. The pot is lightweight, easy to clean and has a non-stick surface. One customer reported it was small enough to fit in their RV but large enough to feed four people. Another customer found it perfect for backpacking due to the size and weight.
