Injen Technology SP1392P Short Ram Intake System

The Injen Technology SP1392P Short Ram Intake System elicits a mixed reception among customers, illustrating the complexities of aftermarket automotive enhancements. While many users appreciate the ease of installation and perfect fitment of the intake, sentiments about performance are significantly divided. Several reviewers highlighted that their vehicles' performance suffered a notable decrease in horsepower and torque when the Injen intake was installed. In one case, a customer reported a loss of around 10hp/TQ as verified through dyno testing, suggesting that for certain models, especially the Genesis Coupe 3.8, the stock intake, perhaps with a simple aftermarket filter, seemingly outperforms the Injen option. This has led some to conclude that the cost of the intake does not translate into a tangible performance benefit, causing disappointment among buyers expecting an enhancement. Conversely, there are users who have experienced an immediate boost in performance and sound, especially when combined with other modifications such as a Borla Cat-back exhaust and DNA Motoring Headers. For these individuals, the intake has reinvigorated their driving experience, leading them to recommend it highly. In essence, while the Injen Technology SP1392P intake system boasts an easy installation and is well-regarded by some as an aesthetic and acoustic enhancement, the performance impact—and the claimed losses—have led to significant scrutiny. Enthusiasts should weigh these factors carefully, particularly prior to investment. **
