The Rolling Stones Format: Audio CD Blues Rock 602508850325 Editorial Review
**** The "Goats Head Soup Super Deluxe" box set has surprisingly won over many skeptics, including those who previously ranked the original album low on their list of favorites. While fans may have had mixed feelings about "Goats Head Soup," this comprehensive box set has reignited appreciation for the album and its rich history. The standout feature of the set is undoubtedly the "Brussels Affair" live disc, encapsulating a powerful performance from 1973 that many Consider one of the Rolling Stones' finest shows. The additional discs featuring rarities and alternate mixes offer a fresh auditory experience, enhancing previously overlooked aspects of the album. Many listeners reported hearing details they had never noticed before, thanks to the meticulous remastering quality. Even fans who initially felt indifferent about the album found themselves reevaluating their stance after diving into the collection. Complementing the musical offerings is a hardcover book that features extensive details about the making of the album, alongside captivating photography and reproductions of tour posters from that period, which many found to add immense value to the overall package. At a substantial price point, the contents encourage prolonged engagement and exploration, making it a worthwhile investment for dedicated fans of the Stones and the era of Mick Taylor. Overall, the "Goats Head Soup Super Deluxe" box set transforms a once-overlooked album into an essential listening experience. It serves not only as a nostalgic tribute to the band but also as a testament to their enduring musical legacy and artistry. **
