The writing style was appreciated by some but some readers thought it was monotonous and didn't distinguish the characters well. The readers who loved Lord of the Flies, World War Z would enjoy Fantasticland too. There were some complaints about the typos in the book. But overall, it was enjoyed by most of the readers who finished it within a short period.
