The device works with an iPad as long as there is a data connection. The device battery can be easily replaced with a CR2032 battery available at any local drugstore or retail store. However, there is no video yet on the support site showing how to change the battery. Overall, V.ALRT seems to offer some good features for emergency situations, but it is worth testing it out to make sure it contacts the emergency contacts as expected since it has had some inConsistent reviews from users.
