Product Description: Revitalize your old garments and accessories with the Rit Dye Powder in Black. This cloth dye powder is perfect for changing the color of clothing, coordinating home decor, and even hiding laundry accidents. With one package of Rit Dye Powder, you can dye up to 1 pound of dry fabric, which is equivalent to two adult large t-shirts.
If you desire a darker or more intense color, simply double the dye quantity. For best results with cotton, rayon, or linen fabrics, add 1 cup of salt to the dye bath. If you're dyeing nylon, silk, or wool, add 1 cup of vinegar instead. If you're looking to lighten the existing color on most fabrics before dyeing to a lighter or different color, we recommend using the Rit Color Remover.
To ensure maximum color retention on cotton, linen, or rayon fabrics, apply the Rit Color Stay Dye Fixative immediately after dyeing. Inside the package, you will find detailed instructions to guide you through the dyeing process. Tear open the package carefully and follow the directions to achieve the desired results. For safety purposes, please note that the Rit Dye Powder is a caustic eye irritant. Avoid contact with eyes and wash thoroughly after handling.
