This intelligent and flexible gateway is the perfect solution for allowing new NMEA 2000 equipment to communicate with legacy NMEA 0183 equipment, making it a must-have for any boating enthusiast. Whether you want to transfer data from older NMEA 0183 sensors to your NMEA 2000 network or send GPS and navigation data from your new NMEA 2000 only MFD to older NMEA 0183 devices like your VHF and autopilot, the iKonvert will accurately and intelligently carry out the required data conversions. With a simple yet effective mode selection method using DIP switches inside the iKonvert, you can easily choose the conversion mode you need. Just remove two screws, open the iKonvert box, and use a small screwdriver to select your desired mode.
The next time you power up the iKonvert, it will automatically carry out the conversions you selected. The iKonvert offers various pre-defined modes including Heading, Sounder, AIS, GPS, Wind, Instruments, and an all data gateway mode, which automatically sets the conversions and baud rates. And if you need a mode that hasn't been defined yet, simply let us know, and we'll consider including it. Designed with convenience in mind, the iKonvert is housed in a compact and easy-to-mount housing, complete with an integral NMEA 0183 cable and standard NMEA 2000 Micro drop cable (male).
