The Dunlop DOP1656 Resonator Strings are a purpose-built set of strings for Dobro/Slide Guitars. They are made with phosphor bronze and come in the medium gauge of .016–.056 with 6 strings in a pack. The rigidity, heaviness, and thickness of the strings make a noticeable difference in sound compared to ordinary strings. The projection is much better, and using a bar slide on these strings feels better due to the right amount of resistance. However, one customer reported that one of the strings broke while tuning, and another customer reported that they did not receive a bonus .018 string as advertised.
