What is the transmission range of the outdoor sensor?
Answer: The outdoor sensor has a transmission range of 60 meters in an open area. -

Can the powcan weather station just be used with batteries and not plugged in to the mains?
Answer: Yes, it can run on batteries only but the screen goes dim after 15 seconds. Press the button on top to make it bright again. -

Mine is showing -27 outside!! I think it is faulty?
Answer: If the sun is shining on it, the reading will be way too high. Put it somewhere in the shade. -
Question:
Can you keep the min/max temperature showing on the display or do you have to keep pressing the button on the back?
Answer: Current temperatures are always on display. Others require pressing the button. -
Question:
Where does the forecasting information come from?
Answer: The forecasting is based on changes in the barometer readings. It's not as accurate as a real forecast. -

How do you setup the year?
Answer: Press and hold the setup (cog) button on the back. Use the up or down arrows to adjust the date. Once set, the display info will stop flashing. -
Question:
Is an additional Sensor available? If so, at what price?
Answer: The weather station comes with its own outdoor sensor included. No additional sensor is needed. -
Question:
Don't seem to be able to get outdoor sensor to work. Any ideas?
Answer: Try drying it out and replacing the batteries. That should resolve the issue. -
Question:
Is the outside sensor waterproof?
Answer: Yes, the outside sensor is waterproof. -
Question:
Just received our weather station, but the remote unit reads 4 degrees different to the main unit. Faulty?
Answer: If the temperature on the main display is flashing, it is not connected to the sender unit. Try resetting both units to fix the issue. -
Question:
How long is the USB cable?
Answer: The USB cable is approximately 1 meter long.
