Mohawk's Hard Fill Stick is a wax stick designed to fill small voids in wood before top coating with a clear finish. It has the Consistency of a crayon, but a bit harder. It needs to be heated up carefully to soften it and then applied. However, it needs a butane knife tool with adjustable temperature control for best results. The battery-powered knife tools are also an inexpensive alternative for small repairs. Some customers have experimented filling the voids in etched or engraved clock faces with this wax stick, and it produced decent results. However, Mohawk has a softer wax stick designed explicitly for filling, which may give better results.
