Answer: This unit is supposed to replace the use of the DA80 USB adapter with a standard headset. It is a HW520 with USB connection. It is a basic telephone headset with noise cancelling. No HD voice or full stereo sound. It is a 2 ear and you can hear in both ears BUT you do not get the rich sound like a 5220. The 5210 is a single ear unit - this is 2 ear. -

Can you hear it say mute or does it beep when you mute or is the mute function silent?
Answer: There is a beep when muting and unmuting heard in the headset. The control for Mute has red around it and the cord is definitely long enough that you can set it in front of yourself if necessary to regularly mute and unmute while in use. -

Can this be used with a PC laptop?
Answer: Yes. I use it daily with my laptop. It plugs into the USB port. As long as you have software to be able to answer calls from your computer it works.
