CableWholesale Selector Switch Boxes Editorial Review
The AB 2 Way Switch Box is designed to allow users to switch between two different components with a DB9 female connector. However, the customer experience with this product has been mixed. Some customers have reported that the product works perfectly and is a good value for the price. For example, one customer stated that the product works well for switching their panadapter between two radio IF feeds. Another customer reported that the switch box solved their existing serial switching issues. Unfortunately, other customers have experienced problems with the product. One customer reported that the switch box failed immediately upon connecting their component, without knowing the cause of the failure. Additionally, some customers have found the gender of the A/B ports to be inconvenient, requiring a "gender bender". One customer also noted that the switch box lacked isolation between the A and B ports, which resulted in a signal on A even when the switch was set to B. Overall, the AB 2 Way Switch Box may be a useful product for some, but it may not be suitable for all applications due to the issues with gender and isolation.
