This battery replacement kit for the Essential PH-1 phone is sold with two 3M adhesive strips to secure the battery in place. However, it does not include any adhesive to reattach the screen. The battery is a new battery and is in fact, from the year the phone was released - 2017. Users are advised to check the battery capacity with a battery app. Upon installation of the new battery, some users reported smelling an electronic burning smell. While the kit is relatively easy to install, users should beware that the battery received may not be a recent production, as one customer received a battery manufactured in September 2017.
