Question:
Does the strap have the same gender connectors on each end?
Answer: No, the connector ends alternate so that you can remove the padded section and create a small hand strap with the two pieces that are attached to your camera. The padded section can be buckled to itself around a belt, etc. if needed so that you won't lay it down and possibly lose it. -

I have a Sony NEX-5N. Would I be able to use this strap?
Answer: I would say yes. The strap is very comfortable, with the memory foam. It may, if anything, be too big, unless you have a lens like an 18-200 or the 16-70 type lens. -
Question:
I haven't been able to see and handle one of these Envy straps. Does the Envy strap roll or fold up easily inside your bag?
Answer: Yes, it's pretty flexible and folds up nicely. It's a light weight strap, ideal for mirrorless cameras. I switch it between a Sony NEX7 and an Olympus OM-d-e-m5, and, in both cases, lay the strap across the top of the camera before closing the bag.
