The ruffled piece is on a felt strip and is stitched on, and it's possible to iron the creases to smooth it out. The width of the ruff is 6cm, and it sticks 3.5 inches from the neck. The ruff can be extended by copying the folds to extend the neck size. The ruff collar is an effective accessory that looked great in a school production of "The Taming of the Shrew" and is perfect for History day at school. However, it doesn't seem super durable, and some buyers have had trouble with the fit on their necks.
