Nutritionist's Take
ARK's Oral Motor Probe is a tool designed to support oral motor skills, which can be beneficial for individuals with feeding difficulties or developmental challenges. Nutritionists appreciate that it provides a safe way to enhance oral motor function, potentially improving the swallow reflex and nutrient absorption. However, it is important to note that its effectiveness relies heavily on the proper usage and guidance from a professional. While this tool can help with oral stimulation and may aid in the introduction of varied textures in diet, there are potential drawbacks, such as reliance on a tool instead of natural eating habits. It is essential for consumers, especially caregivers, to consult with a healthcare provider to ensure it fits their dietary needs and conditions. Overall, ARK's Oral Motor Probe can be a valuable resource in just the right context but should not replace comprehensive nutritional planning.
ARK Therapeutic Speech & Communication Aids Editorial Review
The ARK's Oral Motor Probe is a perfect size for working with babies and children in oral motor exercises. It is easy to hold and manipulate and not too big for their mouths. However, some customers were disappointed as they were expecting it to be an electric vibrating oral motor probe. It is recommended to get this product from a feeding therapist. Overall, it works great for occupational therapy businesses.
