Education & Training Editorial Review
The book "Intern: A Doctor's Initiation" by Sandeep Jauhar has received mixed reviews from readers. While some have praised it for its relatable portrayal of the challenges and experiences faced by medical interns, others have criticized it for similarities to Samuel Shem's "House of God." One reader found the book to be a fascinating look into the experiences of someone becoming a doctor and appreciated the relatable depiction of the training of a new doctor. Another reader, who had personal experience in the medical field, appreciated the insights and reflections provided by Jauhar. They recommended it as a must-read for anyone involved in medicine, given its unique perspective on the ethical and moral aspects of the profession. However, there was a critical view from a reader who pointed out striking similarities to another book, raising concerns about originality and deserving credit. Despite this, other readers found the book to be insightful, real, and interesting, and recommended it for individuals entering health professions.
