DEWALT DWE43066 6" High Performance Trigger Switch Grinder

The DEWALT Angle Grinder Tool, model DWE43066, has garnered a mix of reviews from professional users and builders alike. At first glance, users appreciate the aesthetic appeal and solid build quality of the grinder. The updated safety trigger feature has also received positive remarks, enhancing user confidence while operating the tool. However, reviews highlight some concerns about its performance relative to its predecessor, the D28065. Users reported that while the DWE43066 is generally smoother and features a handy tool-free guard adjustment, it lacks the same level of power and stalling resistance as the older model. The grinder has a 'soft start' function that builds RPM gradually, which some users found odd but not detracting from overall performance. The longevity of the product seems to be a significant issue. A user reported that the grinder stopped working after only two months due to overheating and struggled to receive a replacement from customer service. This warrants concern over the durability and reliability of the tool, impacting the overall user experience. In summary, while the DEWALT DWE43066 boasts modern features and a solid feel, issues with power, overheating, and customer service have left some buyers hesitant about fully committing to this new model. Users seem to prefer their established D28065 models until they can ascertain the longevity and sturdiness of the new grinder. **
