Answer: About 1/4 of a full ream of typing paper -

Is this item 2 separate boxes with 2 lids?
Answer: I bought the 4 pack. It came with 4 boxes with 4 lids. So I assume that the 2 pack comes with 2 boxes with 2 lids. They are formed to stack together nicely. Good quality. I'm storing fold-over elastic in mine. Since I can store them one layer deep, I can easily see the colors.

The boxes stack well on top of each other and are large enough to store multiple projects. Some users have experienced issues with the boxes being delivered broken. Overall, these boxes are suited for crafting, organising, and travelling with smaller items.
